Donnellon McCarthy, Inc. Hard Disk Drive Security Policy

Donnellon McCarthy offers three options to assist our customers with security for Canon and Savin equipment with installed Hard Disk Drives.

  1. Donnellon McCarthy always performs a hard disk drive overwrite on Canon and Savin devices prior to return of equipment to leasing companies or other reallocation. This overwrite procedure is a standard feature for most Canon and Savin devices currently in service. This service is at no charge to our customers.
  2. Customers may purchase a Hard Disk Drive Security Kit that is available for most Canon and Savin devices currently in service. These security kits overwrite the data from the hard drives after each use. This may result in the loss of some functionality. The price of the Hard Disk Drive Security Kits vary by model.
  3. Customer may purchase a new hard disk drive prior to the unit being returned to the leasing company or other reallocation and Donnellon McCarthy will swap it out with the used hard drive. The customer may then dispose of the used hard drive as seen fit.  The price of the hard disc drives vary by model.
